Problem:

Tap keeps dripping no matter how hard you try to turn it off.

Diagnosis:

Leaky taps usually point to a faulty washer.  If the tap is old, its seat may also be worn, or if the water leaks from beneath the head of the tap when it’s in use, the rubber o-ring will need replacing.

Solution:

Unless you really know what you’re doing its best to call a professional.  If you’re going to attempt the repair on your own be sure to turn off the water supply before you begin and place something over the plug hole so you don’t lose any small parts when you dismantle the tap.
