Problem:

Strong gas odour present.  It is incredibly important that you check your gas appliances are off, open windows and vacate your property as soon as you can.

Diagnosis:

It could be possible that you may have left an appliance on by accident, such as a gas stove.  If this is not the case then you almost certainly have a broken gas pipe.  You need to call for emergency assistance as soon as possible and vacate your property.
